Smalls the Dapper

Chris named our third bunny “Smalls.” Like Helmer, he is also named after a character from the Green Ember series.

Smalls is, as you might expect, the smallest of our rabbits. He is smart in mind and fashion. He keeps his snowy white fur spotless, unlike his rambunctious and messy brother Norris.

Rabbits don’t say much—at least as far as I can make out—but of all our rabbits, I think Smalls is the most likely to carry a meaningful conversation. He’s the sort to hang out at local coffee shops, drinking espresso and perusing newspapers . . . before contemplatively eating them.

Smalls’ favorite snacks are cherries and chard, though not necessarily together.

Smalls’ favorite book character is, naturally, the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland. Though I do believe Smalls gets irritated by the white rabbit’s obsession with time. Smalls only wears a timepiece as a stylish accessory. He’s much too cool to be in a hurry.

In my next post I hope to share how Chris and I learned the value of using building plans when making rabbit hutches.

Until then,
